Starting with a pancake breakfast, official ceremonies at noon, Canada Day offers a free fun filled day of family entertainment on Yarmouth's historical waterfront.
« July 1st | Rudder’s Row Dory Event
Rudder's Row is a partnership between Rudders Seafood Restaurant & Brew Pub and Play Yarmouth. In timed heats mixed and men's teams row to raise money for a pre-chosen charity. (A new charity is selected each year.) Entertainment and a barbecue are all part of the fun. Location - Parker Eakins Wharf
« July 18th - 22nd | 30th Annual Seafest
Five days of fun, food and excitement. 2007 is our 30th Annual Seafest. Some highlight features include mayor's musical walk and tea, Seafest Pageant, all day sidewalk sales, fireworks, the Seafest Parade, and the Great Nova Scotia Fish Feast.

The Second Yarmouth Waterfront Festival! A variety of events and demonstrations finishing with a Boat Parade of Lights through Yarmouth Harbour!
« August 16th - 18th | Yarmouth Shark Scramble
This year is the 10th Anniversary of the Yarmouth Shark Scramble! Two days of fishing in two boat categories - fast and slow. 15 knots and under places you in with the slow boats, over 15 knots fast. Family events, concerts and over $30,000 in prizes make this an event you don't want to miss.

« August 30th - September 2nd | Yarmouth Cup Ocean Race
Contestants begin their race in Falmouth, Maine and sail to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. 174 nautical miles, several different racing miles, live entertainment, markets and many other events make for a great family weekend. Event will proceed bi-annually.
« September 1st | Rudder's Chili Cook-Off
Rudders Restaurant Chili Challenge - Teams of up to four participants compete for $1,000.00 cash prize and serious bragging rights! This event takes place on Parker-Eakins wharf and all cooking is done in the open air. Live Entertainment as well.
