    for people who want to learn how to knit; another purse project for those who know how to

PAINT A FLOOR CLOTH  with Maggie Schmidt-Mandell.

    For Adults & Teens
    2 evening session
    Mon. and Tues., Oct. 1 & 2, 6:30–9:30, instructor’s studio, 72 Chemin des Cottreau
    (2nd left of Chemin de l’est), Wedgeport.  Some of the prep work will be done by
    the instructor ahead of time. If the floor cloth isn’t quite finished in the six hour
    class time, students will know how to finish it. Maximum of 8 students.

LAPIDARY with John Hood.
    For Adults
    Wed., Oct.3, 10 am–1 pm & 2 pm–5 pm John Hood’s studio, 72 William Street
    Each participant will go through the grinding, sanding and polishing processes to
    produce a cabochon stone of Nova Scotia agate. The class may include mounting
    the stone.

    Note: Each participant is advised to wear older clothes and to bring an apron.

INTRODUCTION TO RUG HOOKING with Shirley Bradshaw & Pam MacIsaac-Adamss
    For adults and teens
    Sat., Oct. 6, 9 am–12 noon & 1–4 pm Tin Pot Textiles Studio, 429 Lakeside
    Rd. The art of traditional rug hooking will be introduced with the making of a
    small coaster or “mug rug”. A kit which will include a choice of pattern and
    wool will be supplied. Hoops, scissors and hooks will be available. Maximum
    15 people. $35 (kit included). Register by Sept.28. 
BASKET WEAVING with John d’Eon

    Sat., Oct. 6, 12:30 pm Musée acadien, West Pubnico
    (Hwy 103, Exit 31, #898 Route 335) Weave a bread basket, 5” x 11” x 6” h.,
    all purpose size, not just for bread. $35.00 Must pre-register 762-3380. .
