    Seawalk Sale: ALL DAY - Maint Street - Yarmouth's downtown merchants celebrated Seafest with a gigantic sildewalk sale.

    Children's Boat Building: At the Killam Brothers wharf (10 am- noon) - All materials supplied. Prizes. Ages 12 & under. Register at Early Childhood Development Support Center, Donna, 742-7832

    "Art and Architecture": (2- 4 pm) walking tour of the Sea Captain's homes from AGNS (Art Gallery, N.S.) - Meet at the Yarmouth Art Gallery - donations welcomed towards AGNS

    Fire Men's 50 Hours: Ariel Ladder sit for Muscular Dystrophy (July 17th - 4 pm until JUly 19th - 6 pm) - Donations are encouraged

    Seafest Pageant 2008: (7:30 pm) at th'Yarc, 76 Parade Street. The coronation of the 27th Annual Seafest Queen takes place with entertainment and pageantry. Advance tickets are advised for this popular event by phoning Th'Yarc box office 742-8150.

    Classic Car Cruise The Roaring 20' Antique Auto Club presents their annual cruise though Historic Downtown Yarmouth and the surrounding area (7:00 pm).

    Concert: (6-8 pm) Les Audacieaux – classic country follow by Hour Glass- Classic Rock (9- midnight) FREE to public

    entertainment from the sky: Enjoy fireworks at dusk. Rain Date: Saturday, July 19th.

    Seawalk Sale: ALL DAY

    Treasures by the Sea: ALL DAY along the waterfront.

    Driftwoof Art: ALL DAY display at the Visitors Information Center.

    Shiela Poole 10 K race participatants will run a 10 k race on Water Street. At 9:00am, the race begins and ends at Killam Brothers Wharf. The race is part of the "Run Nova Scotia" series.

    Annual Garden Sale: at the Yarmouth County Museum. Treasures and deals are found at this annual museum fundraiser.

    Car Show: Seafest's 29th annual car show at the Mariners Center (10 am - 4 pm) - vintage cars, games, food, and fun for the whole family. Registration on site. No Charge.

    Fish Feast: The great Nova Scotian Fish Feast held from 11 am - 2 pm in the Alma Square (ticket sales begin at 11 am). Savour the taste of Yarmouth’s own shark steak, solomon gundy, fish chowder, fish cakes, and mussels. Brought to you by the Vanguard, Atlantic Superstore, Seafoods Unlimited and Comeau Seafoods, featuring a variety of delicacies form the sea with musical entertainment by George Martinelli and The Shantymen.

    Seafest Parade Theme: A pirates life for me - The annal Seafest parade will begin at 4. The parade begines on Argyle Street, proceeds north though Historic Downtown Yarmouth along Main Street, up Starrs Road and ends in Volkswagen Parking Lot.

    Bay Ferries Rum Running Races: on the Parker Eakins Wharf (6-8:00 pm)

    Concert: Tinpot will entertain you on the Killam Brothers Wharf from 6-8 - FREE to public

    Concert: Ryan Cook and Sunny Acres (9 pm- midnight) - FREE to public

    Yarmouth County Museum: (3:00 pm) Yarmouth County Museum - “Loyalist Refugees” Socio-Costumologist and Living History Interpreter, Jenny Stewart, will dress the part and illustrate the ordinary wardrobe and standards of dress for the 1760-80's era.

    “Art and Architecture”: (2-4 pm) Walking Tour of the Sea Captain’s homes from AGNS - meet at the Western Branch Yarmouth Art Gallery - Donations welcomed towards AGNS.

    Yarmouth County Museum (3 pm) Curator Emeritus, Eric Ruff will share his knowledge of the ships, the sailing and the life aboard Yarmouth’s sailing vessels.

    Concert: of the bells at the Holy Trinity Church, William Street (6:30-7:30)- FREE to public. Thisis an outdoor event, feel free to bring a blanket or a chair. Donations welcomed.

    Yarmouth County Museum: (3-4 pm) 1950’s Costume Talk- In celebration of the Rock Around the Clock High School Reunion, join us as Susan Winship talks about the clothes and customs of the 1950’s.

    Sunset Lobster Boil: 7-9 pm ($12)

    Bonfire: by the Sea with Marshmallows at the Cape Forchu lighthouse (6:30 pm) Movie: (10 pm) Outdoor movie "Pirates of the Caribbean: the Curse of the Black Pearl" on the big screen (weather permitting) - FREE to public - feel free to bring a blanket or lawn chair.

    Seawalk Sales: Yarmouth's downtown merchants celebrate Seafest with a gigantic sildewalk sale (ALL DAY)

    DFO Display: ALL DAY Touch Tank and demonstration by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans on the waterfront.

    Shuck, Show, and Savour Challenge: (11-12:30) on the Parker Eakins Wharf with a finale at 5:30. This challenge is a lobster eating contest with a twist. The contestants need to first shuck the lobster and then present the full lobster without its shell before proceeding to consume it. Teams of two.

    Children's Performance: (11:30-12:30) performances by Th'Yarc at the Coal Shed .

    Face Painting: (11:30 am - 3 pm) Face Painting for children Fiddel Music: (12-2 pm) enjoy sounds by Luke and Jeff Deveau

    Demonstration of Fishing Livelihood Skills: (1-3)

    -(1-2) scallop and Oyster Shucking/ Double Rope Slicing

    -(2-3) Lobster Shucking and Banning/ Haddock Filleting/ Double Rope Splicing

    Mussel and Clam Sale: Sold on behalf of the Seafest Committee for the Seafest Events.

    Cooks Chowder Cook-Off: (2-4 pm) on the waterfront. Local restaurants compete to prepare the best seafood chowder - later to be sold to the public. Winners to be announced by 4 pm.

    Entertainment: (4-5 pm)

    Lobster Boil: (5-8 pm) on the waterfront - proceeds to the Yarmouth Cancer Center and Seafest Festival.

    Finals for Lobster Eating Contest: the final contestants will compete (5:30-7).

    Face Painting: 8 pm

    Concert: Disgruntled Blues Band (6-8 pm) FREE to public

    Conert: Mid Life Crisis will entertain you with their cross section of rock classics and top 40`s music of today (8:30 -midnight). FREE to public.

    Parade of Lights: A night to remember! A variety of local boats theme decorated and lit up to be viewed from the waterfront. This beautiful parade is a must see!(10-11)
